Blue Zone Smoothie

I developed this smoothie while working on the Albert Lea Project and served it to 300 people during a breakfast one Fourth of July. It all disappeared.

Servings:
2 (can be doubled)

Blue Zone Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

1 cup frozen blueberries (do not thaw)
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1⁄2 tablespoon honey
1⁄4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1⁄8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1⁄8 teaspoon salt, optional

Directions

Place all the ingredients in a blender.
Cover and blend until smooth and creamy.
Divide between two glasses to serve.

Cooking Tips

Substitute the unsweetened almond milk for 1 cup unsweetened soy or coconut milk.
